” Welcome, Christmas, bring your cheer.
Cheer to all Whos far and near.
Christmas Day is in our grasp
so long as we have hands to clasp” - Dr. Seuss.
Well, it’s that time of year again : Christmas time! And I thought I would start if off this year with a little bit of some holiday music… geek style.

Ever since last year, The 8bits of Christmas has become a tradition for me to play every Christmas. It is by far the geekiest thing I can do to ring in the holiday spirit. What is a rendition of classic Christmas song done on old video game or PC hardware, or better known for its genre of music : Chiptune . There are such classic renditions as Silent Night and Let it Snow and it’s all done in a very surreal, digital feeling. Definetly not for everyone, but for those of you who want to show their nerdy side this holiday, download a copy.
As far as chiptune’s go, its pretty impressive and definetly a good introduction into the genre if you’re new to the format and should jump you right into the mix in an original form. I reccomend this to pretty much everone, regardless of their geekness. If you ever wanted to hear that Gameboy sing, here’s an album to download.
Well, I hope everyone will get into the holiday mood.
Anyone else have any holiday songs or albums geeks should pick up?

I’ve always wondered how best to be geeky and sappy all at once. Apart from wishing Molly Ringwald would take Anthony Michael Hall more seriously in Sixteen Candles, this is a pretty good option.
Well, now that I know about your site, I can at least bookmark it . . .
Wordpress looks good.

As it is. Great blogging engine. I guess in the end, I’m just a sappy guy at heart. And can’t really deny the geek part. Sort of hard, as you know sir. But welcome to the site and browse and comment on anything you like. As stated, this is my free write site and trying to see what sticks.
