I’m always third tier

Another week, another series of posts. I was going over the states the other day and noticed I there was a decline in hits. Though this isn’t a terrible alarming fact, it was just something I was noticing that I am fairly consistent with my ranking and have noticed that my site is general a third tier to fifth tier blog. Not at the top, but not one to overlook either. I feel very confident that these sorts of inroads are coming after some time and that what once started out as a writing experiment may turn out to be something more. I do thank all of my readers on my site and feel that the month of may will be a rewarding and prosperous one. The tide is changing and I feel like I am finally riding it.
If there is one career path I have pondered over time and time again, it is that of copy write. I’ve always felt I would good at it, but never had the chance to do it professionally. Since this is the case, I figure I give it a go with the blog here. If the site I write about like the copy I write, feel free to use it on your site or anyone else, no link back required. So, for a first, I will start with Catherine Sharp’s site, Sharp Words
Sharp Words is a blog exploring various aspects of the written word in all forms. Headed by technical writer Catherine Sharp, Sharp Words is a valuable resource for aspiring writers and current ones alike. The blog has excellent content ranging from writing tips, poetry, and the occasional book review. Every Tuesday Catherine explores what tips and skills are needed in technically writing not only to express what her professional writing is like, but also to help those who are trying to break into the profession. It is a great site and well worth a read.
Well that turned out more like a review than copy, but it was a first attempt and I’m proud of it. Tune in next time when I pick another site.

Thanks for the mention and the review!
I think being consistent with your blog is important if you want to keep readers - although throwing in something new now and then definitely works (my TW Tuesdays series definitely seems popular, for example). There’s lots of advice out there about blogging - I rate Ben Barden (www.benbarden.com) and Spontaneous Derivation (www.spontaneousderivation.com) for their really solid articles about what can be done with blogs, how and why.

I’m exactly of the same belief. I’m thrilled to even be at the rank I am. It’s consistent and I do have my readers. In any case, this is just one of those months that I am seeing how the metrics will turn out. In any case, glad you like the review and be ready to see more content.
