“Hell, if I had concentrated my efforts, I could’ve written a book,”

I didn’t even notice, but this blog is now about a year old! Wow. It’s amazing what has happened. And with a word count like that, I’m quite impressed. So, in a celebratory fashion, I’m going to link the top 5 posts with the most words that are NOT fiction, each with a small description.

  1. It’s all flukes to me: Clocking in at 1,193 words, this is my longest post to date that is not a fictional work. Honestly, I had no clue this was that long until this very moment. The post is just a simple look at some events in my life and how I view the world.
  2. Futzer at large: Coming in at 1,090 words, this post is actually quite strange and I almost forgot I wrote it. It’s actually a look back at an event that took place a while back and roughly illustrates how I pick apart my life and try to find what connections I can draw. It was in a strange mood when I wrote this and well, it shows in the post. But it is on the top of the word count, so I must link it. Read with caution.
  3. How I became an English Major: at 1,062 words, this is possibly my favorite post I have written. At the time, I was trying to have a weekly post dealing with my major and I felt it was important to discuss my past and why I became what I am. .
  4. Now I know how Jay Gatsby Feels…: The only recent post on the list. Coming in at 977 words, this post is a post looking back at a funk I was recently in, trying to settle some peace in my mind.
  5. You’ll never get it:  This 916 word post is pretty ironic, considering the timing of this post. Currently, I’m playing the game it deals with during the Earthbound Funktastic Gameplay Summer this year. So, if you ever wondered why I love this game, read the following post.

The interesting part is that each of these posts actually capture some part of my personality. After a year of posting, writing, and picking apart it all, I’m pleased with where this blog is at and regardless of the post, I’m proud of them all. Thank you for putting up with all this bull that I’ve written over the past year. So, what to do now?

Party, party, party!

  1. Congratulations on making the year! That’s quite a success these days in the blogging world, and over a hundred posts is a good year’s work, too.

    Keep it up!
